I can't believe this place hasn't been reviewed yet! Awesome food, great drink specials, and a lively pub-like atmosphere. They have pool, darts and arcade games. Sometimes there's live music and sometimes a DJ. The crowd is more down to earth and much less trashy than you might find at some other bars in the area. Seems to be a slightly older crowd (mostly mid 20's and 30's?). All around great place to hang out and meet friends.

My favorite place for beef stroganoff. We also got a huge large Hawaiian pizza for $12.50 & $5 pitcher of beer (game special) . No wonder it was crowded on a Sunday afternoon! I give a 5 star just for the beef stroganoff. Great staff too. We will be back!

so i went back to this establishment to try their food. opted for the spinach dip as an appetizer again, and it was disappointing this time. it was just okay, but i am really not a fan of the cheese they use. i am also pretty sure i tasted huge globs of cream cheese (not melted at all), yuck. however the layer of dip below the thick layer of cheese wasn't bad. some of the chips tasted a little stale this time though. we also ordered pita with it, which was pretty good and served warm. as far as an entree, i tried a personal pizza with all meats, also added banana peppers to it. the pizza was again, just "okay". the same was good, the crust was good, but again, it's whatever kind of mozzarella here they use that ruins everything for me. i think that maybe if the pizza was cooked a little longer the cheese would have been a little better, along with the spinach dip. my boyfriend ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and curly fries. the curly fries were very fresh, and he really enjoyed the wrap as well. he described the buffalo sauce as tasting almost like the mild sauce at Buffalo Wild Wings. overall the food experience was mediocre. not bad, but not amazing either. however i must mention that there was some drunk girl in the front end of the bar yelling constantly. while this is a bar and i understand that bars can be loud, she was the only one screaming and the place was pretty empty considering it was a Monday evening. i will be back to try more foods though!

Been here once, had a good experience. This place is a lot bigger than it looks. After a night of dive bar hopping, bar after bar of an older crowd giving us weird looks. we set foot into the sports venue, a young active, loud, happening place for the young locals in the area. seemed like they had a lot going on. They had a door guy that just checked ID's, was very friendly and professional. Karaoke singing , DJ, dancing, multiple TV's showing sports, music videos, news, and even tv shows. Bar was full, we grabbed a table and had a round, the server was friendly but didn't seem to be in too much of a hurry. Drinks were made right, pretty cheap our bill wasn't much at all. The place was certainly busy. I would like to check it out again.

Could be ok, if you're a local. The drinks and food weren't bad. The downside was it seems this place is filled with neighborhood locals from garden city and that spells bad news. If you like hanging out with broken English speaking, tooth missing, flannel wearing hicks this place is ok.

Not your typical bar food, the food is amazing! Try the Oven baked fries! Fajitas are great! The owners are super friendly! Matty and Kelly are the best bartenders!

On our way to and from Alberts on the Alley (what can I say, Ken likes their stupid mini deep fried burrito app... not to mention the hot waitstaff) we noticed this bar with a completely full parking lot. Finally we stopped in, and I was pleasantly surprised. This is the kind of bar where, before the smoking ban, you'd probably have to burn your clothes after leaving....and then shower twice Now, the grizzled patrons remain (smoking just outside the door), plus some rowdy youngsters. Pool tables, darts, video poker and TVs abound. Waitstaff is much more competent than the AA girls, without the tight tank tops and calf warmers (cuz you know their calves are probably freezing at AA, right?) Every time we've been to Sports Venue they have drink and food specials going. Good ones too. Their tap and bottle beer list is good enough for me. The food menu includes a variety of apps (including potato chips covered in nacho toppings, cheese balls and some pretty tasty wings), pizzas and calzones, sandwiches and main entrees. All the food we've tried has been tasty (the burger has been my least favorite item, and it still ranked about a 3). They're still taking the restaurant.com certificates, if you have one rattling around in your junk drawer.

We started going here when some friends invited us to the trivia. The food is pretty darn good and mostly scratch made. The beer is cold, and they have a pretty decent selection of all the major stuff. The servers are friendly.
